Background

The Network+Getwork initiative was a pilot cross-border venture between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Funded by InterTradeIreland, the pilot ran from July 2003 – June 2004 and was managed by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Network+Getwork brought SMEs from Northern Ireland and ROI to meet with large buying organisations in the Dublin area and in Northern Ireland. It targeted SMEs (a) not previously involved in cross-border trade (b) those which are working in cross-border trade but were seeking to increase the level of trade. The procurement organisations were approached through Chamber contacts.
