This event was focused on the procurement strategy of Regional Supplies Service. Regional Supplies Service Buyer Feedback "I felt this event was excellent for the companies who attended, as they got very relevant and up to date information regarding our contracting process. They were also given the relevant "buyers" contact details and therefore should have wasted no time in setting up meetings to introduce themselves - and their product to RSS. I was surprised that a number of companies had been in business such a long time and yet had never made contact with RSS/NHS previously and felt this was a good opportunity for RSS to strengthen their supplier database. This was my first 'meet the buyer' event and I thought it was very well organized. I thought the time slot of 15 minutes was adequate to allow suppliers time to introduce their product and I have followed up on meeting the suppliers by emailing lists of Catering and Estates managers to 2 of them. I have also received further information from a company regarding disposal of confidential waste which I am currently interested in as I am involved in working on a new a tender for this service. I thought it was very well organized. Some of the suppliers were better prepared than others as to why they were there etc. All in all, it was worthwhile exercise." A secondary benefit is that during the networking event I made contact with a number of potential customers, from NI, in areas that I had not anticipated. The venue was excellent- convenient and well set out. Timing was good as it allowed plenty of time to arrive, yet early enough to get home to Donegal. Presentations were prompt and to the point. The RSS staff that I met were very helpful and had the information promised, to me the next morning. The Chambers staff were very helpful and I appreciated that, as someone who had to travel a good distance, I was put in to the meetings early to allow for an early home going if required."
