Belfast City Council SME Feedback
"Even though I wasn't scheduled to attend I did get a chat with Valerie from
Belfast City Council's purchasing department. We had a very good discussion
where I was able to update her of new propositions and developments within
our sector.
As usual the networking was very productive where I had the opportunity to
give a snapshot of Barclay Communications and the services it offers. I have
several new leads to follow up from this part of the event and I'm hopeful
of doing some business from this.
Again, I would like to thank the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce for
their part in putting another professional event together."Adrian McCourt Barclay Communications
"Excellent day, well worth the trip:
-Did you get to speak to a buyer? Yes.
-Is there potential for future business? Probably.
-Was the networking useful? Very.
Met 10 new companies, 7 of whom have potential to become prospects and
customers. As at last event we attended, the immediate business is more
often done between the networking companies than with the principles buyers."Conor Molloy Authentic Solutions Ltd
"Firstly let me say that this was my first experience of a Chamber event
and overall I found the day to be relaxed, enjoyable and well organised
and thanks to Intertrade Ireland and the Chamber for making this happen.
I attended on behalf of Channel56 Media Training and I found the event
very useful on a number of fronts.
I did speak to a buyer and although this came at the end of a long day
and that my buyer must have been ' sold out' to by the time we met she
was still very encouraging and very professional .
I do believe that there will be future work available on the basis of
our meeting and indeed I am working on this opportunity as I write.
Throughout the day I had the opportunity to network with around 10
different businesses via the speed networking workshop and afterwards
network on a more informal basis with others attending.
Not only did I find this networking aspect to the day useful in terms of
promoting my business but I also feel that others attending were very
supportive and encouraging of my lnew business. Many thanks Ben" Channel 56 Maggie Lavery
“As a Business Development Manager for an Event Marketing Company I find networking is part and parcel of my job. After attending numerous networking events in the past 6 months I have to say that the ‘Network + Getwork’ event was one of the best. Ben and his team provided a seamless programme and I found the speed networking format extremely useful and a very novel way of meeting as many potential clients as possible. I also had the opportunity to meet two buyers which provided me with the platform upon which I could highlight the benefits of my company, Ovation Group. The buyers were very attentive and I truly felt that they had listened to my presentation and that there was a great opportunity for future business there. All in all, it was a fantastic event and a format which I would recommend to anyone who wishes to meet potential clients, buyers and suppliers, or simply to make a few friends.” Ross Licence Ovation Group
"I felt the event was well set out. Getting to speak to one of the
departments from the Belfast City Council was a great opportunity for us
to discuss further potential rollout within the council and to obtain
the contacts to achieve this. The speed dating side of it was enjoyable,
however, because most of the companies attending where to meet with
buyers from the council, there was not really an opportunity for
business there.
Please keep in touch with any upcoming events." Jonathan Lancaster Bluechip Technologies
"I spoke with the correct contact for our services (facilities and energy
management). There is significant potential for new business with BCC and
these opportunities will be chased down at the appropriate time." Denis Egan GSH Ireland Ltd
"I found the event extremely informative, helping me to understand the
market in Belfast as well as providing me an excellent opportunity to
network and, I am glad to say, speak to at least one buyer." Carolyn Causton People Development Team
"First of all many congratulations on a well organised event.Feed back was good.So was the buffet.Only regret founder and Director of Broadvizion Tony Mills was unable to attend due to being abroad.
Please convey my appreciation to Sarah who not only ensured I got there, but got me speaking to Gerry McFall of B.C.C. who is involved in camera installation, support and maintenance.Gerry asked me e-mail him this week to establish if a meeting with his superior (Head of Security) would proof to be of mutual benefit.I understand B.C.C. are presently reviewing a number of security related issues one of which surrounds cameras/remote monitoring.
In addition met with a number of other potential contacts which we propose following up on.One in particular in Dublin may require a full presentation by Broadvizion. In this vain and conscious of my last minute attendance can contact be made directly to Dublin Chamber? I had hoped to speak with the CEO of D.C.C.but unfortunately I could not track her down.Broadvizion has already undertaken business in Mullingar and we are presently tendering for 3 other locations in Dublin.
Once again many thanks for your invite and best wishes to you and Sarah in the meantime.Look forward to hearing from you." Roy Elliott Broadvizion
"As a first time user of the Network Getwork Forum, I found the
experience very worthwhile in that I had the opportunity to get in front of buyers, who, through no fault of their own, do not have the time to meet every prospective supplier. We believe that we shall conduct further business with the contacts made". Kenny Allen Red Sky Group
