Network + Getwork with Belfast City Council

The Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber Commerce have joined forces to bring you a series of forums introducing companies to procurment deicson matteres in a number of large organisations througout the island as part og the InterTrade Network + Getwork programme.

Network + Getwork:

This programme funded by InterTrade Ireland aims at introducing companies to procurement decision makers in large organisations throughout the island.  This event will focus on the procurement of Belfast City Council.  Companies attending will have the opportuinity of a 15 minute 1:1 meeting with the relevant senior procurement personnel.

Topics covered will include:

• Mindset on tendering for public procurement contracts,

• Persistence after completing the tender,

• Determining what makes companies successful,

• and Filling in the tender document.

A Senior Buyer from Belfast City Council will be present on the day to give a presentation on procurement strategy for 2007. There will be a working

lunch provided from 12.30-1pm.

Public Procurement Mentoring Sessions - subsequent to the Network+Getwork event these 20 companies will have an option of one mentoring session with the Go Tender team through which they will pursue live tenders if appropriate.This session must be confirmed prior to 1st March 2007.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Will be required to submit a confidential company profile upon which Belfast City Council will make their decision for teh event.  Attendees are chosen according to industry type and the relevance of their business.

Closing date for booking it the 24th of January 2007.

2. We will require you to contribute feecback (including potential contract values) on the day and up to one year from the date of the event.

3. Please book early as places are limited to 50 for the main event.

4. The Go Tender Pre Event delivered by the PricewaterhouseCoopers is limited to companies who will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
