Testimonials

Adrian Gallagher,Career Wear,Letterkenney
“I found the event very useful as a way to discover the workings and processes of large companies’ buying policies, which hopefully increases the chance of my own company winning more contracts in the future. During the networking event I also made contact with a number of potential customers from Northern Ireland in areas that I had not anticipated, which was very beneficial.”
Cathy Gamble,Typerite,Warrenpoint
“Network+Getwork gave us the opportunity to meet new customers in the Republic who would normally be quite difficult to get introductions to. We were able to sit down face to face with decision-makers, enabling us to present our products and services in a very positive manner and resulting in an important new business contract”
Michael Doherty,ECIS,Derry
"Our participation in Network+Getwork proved invaluable. Pre-arranged meetings with buyers with substantial purchasing budgets from some of Northern Ireland’s largest employers is a dream for a small company. The pre-selection of companies gave us confidence that large buyers were interested in our specific area, while the speed networking sessions with other companies provided great potential business opportunities"
Ray Doyle,Chirl Sourcing,Dublin
“We found the business potential excellent and got great advice on how to present effectively and pitch for new business. We will definitely be attending future Network+Getwork events and would highly recommend this type of forum as an effective method of increasing business and networking with other companies”
Stephen Murray,FG Wilson,Larne
We realised that there may be opportunities to review our supply base across the Island and so were delighted to host a Network+Getwork event which delievered on those expectations. Even though FG Wilson sets high and challenging standards for our suppliers we are delighted that a number of requests for quotation were issued following the purchasing event and a number of new companies have already been added to our preferred vendors list. As a result of Network+Getwork, I would encourage other large purchasers to consider participating in the follow-up programme.

About Us

InterTradeIreland Network+Getwork Programme is an exciting trade development initiative facilitated by the Nothern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to encourage and assist companies in Ireland and Northern Ireland to explore cross border business opportunities with some of the island’s largest procurement organisations.

The objective of Network+Getwork is to stimulate cross-border trade through the facilitation of meetings for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout Ireland with larger procurement organisations.

Large procurement groups of sector-specific organisations (eg. construction, food and tourism retail, tradeable services, etc.) will play host to multi-buyer Network+Getwork events.

Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce

The Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce engages and supports local business by providing exceptional networking and business development opportunities, promoting members’ commercial interests, influencing government economic policy and assisting member companies to develop new and expanded export trade potential.

With access to more than 4,000 member businesses across Northern Ireland representing every sector of the business community, from the sole trader to businesses with thousands of employees, the chamber of commerce movement is the largest private-sector forum in Northern Ireland and we welcome input from our members on all issues, which affect business.

Our functions provide opportunities for business people to meet socially, exchange cards, discuss business, make new contacts at decision-maker level, share problems and meet potential customers and suppliers from a wide range of business sectors.

Dublin Chamber of Commerce

Dublin Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of businesses, both large and small, in Ireland's capital. As the premier networking organisation in the city, the Chamber offers significant opportunities to promote your business and network with other members.

The Chamber provides a range of business services, including business training, visa and export documentation, international business opportunities and discounts for members on a range of business services.

InterTradeIreland

The two economies on the island of Ireland face similar challenges arising from the increasing pace intensity of global competition.

Both governments have agreed that cooperation across a range of areas - including infrastructure, innovation and enterprise development - can benefit everyone.

InterTradeIreland plays a unique role in helping the two governments improve economic conditions by:

- undertaking research that highlights and makes recommendations on the benefits of increased cooperation

- developing and delivering programmes to help companies take advantage of the business opportunities available across the island

- supporting networks that enable businesses to share their experience and expertise, develop new products and identify new markets

InterTradeIreland, the Trade and Business Development Body, is one of the six cross-border bodies established under the Belfast Agreement, 1999.

Mission statement

InterTradeIreland's mission is to enhance the global competitiveness of the all-island economy to the mutual benefit of Ireland and Northern Ireland through measures such as the creation of knowledge-intensive all-island trade and business development networks and the implementation of all-island trade and business development programmes.
